Thomas Edison State University - ABSN Fall 2020

Published

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has applied to this program for the October fall 2020 cohort, and where along in the application process are they?

Best,

@HendrixchickFrom the conversation I had with Vicki all requirements have to be done before applying. You can also try StraighterLine that’s what she recommended.

@gabriela862 Thanks! I just started to course today. your a lifesaver!

I havent taken an ethics class yet and I just realized it was the only requirement I WAS MISSING ;(

Anyone tested out of it or got accepted before taking an ethics course?

I took mine on straighterline and tbh you can get it done in a day or 2 if you really tried and then get the credit sent to TESU

Hi guys! I am currently a senior in college and have had my eye on this program for about two years now. Would any of you mind sharing your stats (GPA, test scores, etc) especially if you’ve been accepted? I just want to have an idea of what I should be aiming for when I am applying. I’m currently finishing up the rest of my prerequisites.

For the ones that have taken the TEAS where did you take it? I was schedule to take mine today but the location was closed once I got there.

@santosw18 TESU was offering it online but I'm not sure if there are any more dates available, email Vicki to find out. If there aren't ATI TEAS had some locations that allowed you to take the test online so look into all the locations available. I saw online locations on their website when I looked up ATI TEAS locations but not the PSI centers.

@priyalparikh6 Thanks a lot of this detailed explanation. At first, I was kinda bummed when my exam got pushed back but I also saw it as more time to review and make sure I know everything fully.

The only thing that worries me about having my exam pushed back is that it might decrease my chances of getting accepted since spots might be full by then.

I'm just hoping I get accepted for the October cohort. I only applied to 2 schools, with TESU being my first choice. The other school I applied too is upstate and I already got waitlisted.

@santosw18 email Vicky and ask if you can take it remotely through TESU. It will be done through your computer at home. The service is called proctorio and it is through ATI. Request a refund for your PSI testing center or asked to be switched to remote proctoring

@priyalparikh6 Thank you. I'll be sure to give updates once all this is over.

@Nursebeckymy exam is on the 25th, also! And don’t be bummed out. I felt the same way, but put In the extra work to study more! You’ll do great. And what is meant to be, will be! Best of luck!

Thank you All!

Good luck on your exams!!

I am nervous but trying my best to study as much as I can on the days leading up to the exam! @Jb02359 Thank you!

@priyalparikh6 Hey, just a quick question. So I bought mometrix university and I've been studying from there and doing the practice exams they offer. Would you say that their science section was similar to the actual ATI TEAS ? I know you said it was helpful, but I just want to make sure that their format is similar to the actual exam. Also, did your exam have a lot of Chemistry ?

@Nursebecky The science section was VERY similar to the questions on the exam. There were some questions that were a little easier on mometrix but most were similar. I also googled other practice questions which helped. My exam I think had like 3 chem questions if I remember correctly. I do recommend doing other practice questions from Google because they definitely help in terms of knowledge but the format on mometrix is very similar.
