Hi! I was just accepted to the April 2020 cohort and confirmed that I will be attending! Anyone else out there?! I know the cohorts are small but looking to make some potential connections in advance. My first bachelors was in social work back in 2009!

I also got accepted in the program. I'm from NY. I'm trying to do my research on TESU. Can someone provide some insight about the program?

Congrats Gary! I don’t have much insight except what’s available through this site. I hear it’s intense but what nursing programs aren’t. I’m not working during the program however I do have two little ones but I have support at home with their dad. The school and people seem very straight forward so far. I’m excited overall!

Hello everyone! My name is Leslie and I was just accepted into the program and confirmed my spot in the April 2020 cohort! So excited to meet you guys and everyone else ?

I'm from NJ and I completed my BA in Biology in 2019. No kids for me yet, but I've worked as a patient care technician for the last two years and I'm still debating whether or not to work during the program (I work part-time night shift).

I've been told that the program is small (20 people) and super intense, but I know that we'll be able to get through it! @gary236 it's a 60 credit program and 35 will be held on campus and another 25 will be held online. However, I know that they did mention during my interview that we will still be in class M-F, at least for the first quarter and then it lessens a bit afterward.

@Sjean31 have you guys heard any word about your financial aid packages, uniform requirements for clinicals, as well as required materials yet? I'm sure there will be more information sent to us moving forward, but I'm just trying to get a head start if possible LOL.

Hi @nursechichi20! Nice to meet you! I did also hear that it was a group of 20 people! I honestly love the class size! We all will know each other pretty well which is awesome. To answer your question about the financial aid, I only had a little left to use for my federal loans because I used it all up in undergrad plus taking prerequisites. I am currently working on securing a private loan for the program. From what I understand a lot of students in this program pay with private loans and a combo of scholarships. I would reach out to [email protected] or call them directly and I'm sure they will be able to navigate you through options. Don't forget to submit your 19/20 & 20/21 Fafsa! If you did already they will be able to give you more detailed information. The only email we received so far was the immunization requirements and the background screening/drug screening ;also the CPR certification requirement. Its a lot to do but they are giving us until April 17th to get it done but I am starting now because I really want to focus on the program when we start. The orientation is set for March 23rd and 24th from 830am to 430pm. I am sure we will get all the information on uniforms, clinicals, and required materials at that point. I have a wishlist full of stuff on Amazon and just waiting to buy! ha! Don't be a stranger and hope to meet you during orientation!

Hi,

since you guys are more familiar,

I'm applying for October Cohort,

I saw that classes in the first term are Monday through Friday, did they mention what times they meet? Is it an all day thing?

thank you in advance.

Hi @santosw18!

The schedule pre-covid 19 said 830am to 3pm or 4pm some days. Being that our cohort has not met live in person yet, I have not experienced it to really be 100% certain if those times are concrete. We meet online and trust me the program keeps you busy! Good luck and if you have any other questions please feel free to reach out!

I see that TESU ABSN requires a 70 in each content area of the TEAS. Has anyone been accepted with scores lower than a 70?

Hi @Haznursing

I think as long as you score in the proficient range you have a chance. That combined with good prerequisite grades. I would definitely reach out to admissions and speak to Vicki Brzoza.

Hi! I just applied for the October cohort, and was wondering if interviews/decisions start after the application deadline or if you were notified before the application deadline. Just curious in regards to timelines with other schools. Thanks!

@gabriela862

Hi! So sorry for the late reply, our first term is just coming to an end and it's been one crazy month. But I believe they review the applications on a rolling basis. Meaning they will review applicants until that class is full. Don't quote me though! Call them and speak to Vicky Brzoza if you haven't done so. She's a great help. Good luck.
