I will graduate with my ADN degree in May of 2007. I will continue to go for my BSN and hopefully will be done in May of 2008. I was thinking of doing some traveling nursing. How long should I wait before I start? And what should I be aware of, in regards to filing my taxes, if I choose to do traveling nursing? I would really appreciate any input that someone with experience may have.
Thanks,

check out the forum for travelers and you will find most of your answers as well as answers to questions you haven't thought to ask yet. (go up to "forums" and pick the Nursing specialties and then travel nursing)
Most travel companies and hospitals won't take you until you have 1-2 years under your belt.

My 1 year mark will be in June and I had planned on some travel nursing then but now I want another year in! I would definitely wait at least a year, you want to get some good experience because you want to feel confident when you are in different areas. You gotta look out for that license because some agencies don't care about protecting your license.......most I know of want 1-2 years. But......everyone is different.

I would get a year of experience and then evaluate how you feel about traveling. I will have a year of experience in May and I don't think I would feel comfortable traveling yet but everyone is different.
