Thinking about my pursuing my Nursing Career

Published

Hi and Hello to All!

Hope everyone is doing a great lovely day...

I just want to share my thoughts and if you could..pls give an advice, enlightenment or something that might help me realize things...

I passed my NCLEX-RN year 2009 ( graduated BSN 2007 Philippines). I was able to gain 4 years of experience as a Public Health Nurse in the Philippines plus 1 year of experience as a Nurse Associate (Utilization Management Nurse, reviewing clinical claims disputes 2015 to 2016) where I was able to use my US RN license TX.

Fortunately, we got approved as permanent resident here in Canada.. were it may took me of about 2 to 3 years for me to be able to practice nursing here.

I tried ielts a few times after 2009 to obtain a visa screen for US but i just cant make my speaking part to reach 7.0.

Now that we are here in Canada, (arrived dec 2018) I am now thinking about pursuing my nursing career...

My last practice was as a Nurse associate reviewing claims ...year 2016. Whats in my mind is.. if its still possible to be an UM nurse remotely... I just dont know where to start...( just for me to at least be able to gain exp as a nurse and also earn as one... and at the same time i am able to utilize my usrn license from here....)

Or

Stay here in Canada try to pursue nursing but it may take me years to become a LPN then study to become RN here...

I just dont know were to start... do you have any recommendations, suggestions.... and i am also thinking twice because i dont have any hospital experience... and that may last practice was in 2016 in an office reviewing claims...

Hoping to hear from the group.. any tips... or share something too...

Wishing All the best to all,

Marra
