Think we'll get letters over spring break?

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

I can't decide if I should cease stalking the mailman this week.:lol2:

I don't know if anyone remembers reading my story (see the Devastated thread in this forum)...I thought everything was over and done with..final decisions, I heard, for the nursing program were made on March 5...the Dean of the Allied Health at my school called me today, and I was suprised b/c the Dean of the entire nursing program already told me that an exception could not be made on my GPA.

He called to tell me the same thing, and I told him that I had already been told by other higher ups that an exception could not be made. He made it very clear that he did not agree with the decision in my case.

The Director of the Entire program sent me an e-mail and said that, "You are a very capable student and we are sure you will be an asset to the nursing program. I feel sure that you will get into the program and do well."

So, I'm thinking that I've probably got accepted (or they made the exception secretly) and just didn't want to tell me at this time until the letters went out for everyone.

This is why I'm bummed: The Dean said that he talked to my Director, but I'm thinking, if I got in already, wouldn't the Director have just told him?

I'm assuming yes...would that be assuming too much?

I mean, if I get the letter and I'm 1 or 2 on the alternate list, I'm just going to assume that I'm in....they have way more than that, that drop for whatever reason....but if I'm further down than that, then I'm just going to make plans to go out of state to another school and just get my BSN and be done with it...if I have to wait another year, it would be the same amount of time spent, so I mine as well get my BSN instead of my ADN.
