To name a few of my own....
1) As both a CRNP and a hospital employee (the only one employed by the hospital, in fact), I wish that the hospital allowed me to see hospital employees. Their insurance does not cover NP care. Kinda doesn't make sense...they pay me to work, but they won't cover their own employees to be seen by a fellow employee.
2)I wish that the insurance racket would just stop. I can see all patients, except BC/BS. I have a BC/BS provider #, but they won't pay for a stress supervised by me. I am covered by BC/BS, but yet my own insurance won't cover me to see those it covers.
3)I wish that the powers that be would grow a spine and insist that patients meet criteria to be placed on our cardiac specialty unit. While the heart program was on moratorium, it wasn't a big deal, but now that we have it back, we NEED those beds for our patients. It's a cardiac unit, there is no need to put a stabbing victim and a hip fx over there just because you think they'll get better care. If it's that bad on the floors, take care of it, do something about it. Don't kowtow and just let it get by to keep the peace. It's coming back to bite now, and it's not pretty.
4)And finally....I CAN NOT MAKE MY OFFICE BE AS EFFICIENT AS I AM! I do all my stuff myself, so I know it gets done, and done to the best of my ability. Tell me what needs to be done, I'll do it, if it's done wrong, I'll fix it. But, holy cats, people, I can't babysit a whole office. It's a new computer program, we're all having issues with it. Griping to me about how one person always does things wrong helps nada. The person the needs to know knows. I can't fix it. I can fix me if I need to. I'll help you if I'm able. But I'm not a miracle worker.
There, I feel better.
Chime in, guys?

I would be willing to bet, with the recent healthcare changes, you will soon be seeing more pts than you can handle. It is kind of foolish, on thepart of your hsp-edimerges and Minute clinics all over are run by NPs...As for BC/BS, they seem to specialize in "bs" and I'm not talking Blue Shield......

Deep breathe, take up yoga, and let your mantra be..."I will survive today and then when it is done, I will leave it behind...."
You don't want wrinkles yet, do ya?
Oh, Jo, I've been on the anti-wrinkle cream bandwagon since I was 24, lol.
