These classes are nonsense

Published

Finished my first semester of patho, pharm, and health assessment, you know real classes that are significant to my future job. So this semester I am taking some nonsense advanced nursing theory and a bull$%^ nurse educator class. Please tell me why I have to waste my time and money on this crap? I made A's all last semester and I honestly could care less if I make 2 Cs in these crap shoot classes. I truly don't see a future employer frowning upon it. I am sure some MD that interviews me for his practice could give a flying hoot about what I made in nursing theory. Anyone else feel the same way?

omg, this made me chuckle. i do remember those convoluted diagrams last semester. either ya love theory, or hate it. class mates of mine were brought to their knees attempting to write the long, involved, apa correct papers. several had made good grades in patho, assessment, pharm and then could not make it through theory. just play the graduate school game. i don't fight it; just give them what they want. when you do get to take a class you love, well makes it all worthwhile. i am fascinated most of the time in graduate school.

... and let's not forget that little "theory of gravity" we bump into every time we fall down.
