There seems to be A TON of bad reviews for the latest ATI TEAS Review Manual

Published

I was reading the reviews on Amazon for the latest ATI TEAS Review Manual: Sixth Edition Revised, and most people say it's not helpful at all, as well as there were a lot of mistakes, and that parts that say just to look up the information online lol, etc.

I know that you can't expect one TEAS book to prepare you completely, but considering how horrible the revised Sixth Edition is, as well a the un-revised Sixth Edition, should I just get the 5th Edition and use that?

Also, is the 5th edition manual still suitable for the 6th edition test?

Thanks for your help and input!

I read the reviews and just ordered it anyway, so I guess I'll find out :roflmao:

I ordered it too unfortunately but without reading the reviews, but I'm seriously thinking of returning it and just getting the 5th edition if anyone says it would be good for the current version of the TEAS.

I am using it now and I will be taking my exam on the 20th. I have heard the opposite actually. I have heard and read from some people that the exam book is all you need

I wouldn't suggest getting the 5 because the information will not correlate with the updated TEAS. I take my test the 17th and plan to only use the ATI manual.

If you don't mind me asking how well did the book prepare you for the actual exam now that you've taken it???

I read through the ATI 6th edition, the updated version that fixed the mistakes, and still found some sections to be lacking in depth. Mostly the science section I found to be pretty generic.

I found that the TEAS 6 review book was just that, a review. A very simple, vague review. The reading, math and English were about the same, I think that stuff was pretty basic- I just had to brush up on punctuation. The science was way more in depth than the review book made it. I was told it was a simple test of hs science, I never learned this stuff in hs. For example, the book reviews the integumentary system- pretty simple, what it does not go into is the layers within the layers of skin, the test asks about that. The test also asks about mitosis and meiosis, that's not in the book. All the book says is to use resources on the internet to find more info, I think that's just mean- how do you know what to look up? I found that my best help was to read through these forums and find advice on what to study, also the Kahn videos were very helpful.
