The waiting....

It's killing me!!! :uhoh3:

I applied to Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) BSN program Dec. 20, deadline for applications was January 15 and I won't hear anything until at the very earliest late March and at the very latest mid April.

I can't take it!!! But I guess it is a good weightloss program seeing as I haven't been able to eat anything for quite some time now. :chuckle

Who else is waiting anxiously for their acceptance/decline letters?

We need to talk...I'm going crazy....:lol_hitti

The RN program would not even begin to take any applications until the end of October. I applied in November. In the meantime I sit on a waiting list to start an LPN program. I am hoping that I hear soon if I got accepted to the RN program. Since that is my preference.

School starts in Sept 05 and I was holding out until they told me if I was accepted or not before I went ahead and spent a fortune taking Physiology. (want that course all done before Sept). I called several times and each time they said I would hear something by 1. End of December. 2. End of January.....now I have no idea how soon I will hear. I had to break down and purchase the course because I only have so much time between now and Sept to finish it.

I have no idea why it is taking them so long to decide. I am losing my mind waiting. What they wait so long for is beyond me.

So in the meantime I struggle through this very difficult physiology course and hope that I get my acceptance letter soon. Fall back option is proceeding on with the LPN program...(but that is my last choice).

I guess all I can say is....Good things come to those who wait...LOL.

The college is sick of hearing from me though so I won't call them again hehe.

I hope you hear soon. Is there anyway to contact the nursing department? Maybe you can check to see that all of your application materials have arrived? I was able to apply online, and I had noticed that when I was checking my application status, it stated that it was incomplete. Not knowing why, since I had done everything required, including getting accepted by the university, I emailed the nursing department. Well, this Tuesday I received a phone call in which I was told verbally over the phone that I have met all of the prereqs and due to my GPA, I've been accepted. Although the many may have to wait until the June deadline to find out, they didn't see why I should have to wait.

Call them, maybe you are in the same situation.

Good luck!

Kris

Hi - good luck to you! :coollook: I know waiting is so hard. If you get in, wave to me - I'll be across the street.

I applied online and it says they've received my transcripts, signed form, and statement of purpose. So I know they've got it all. I'm pretty sure they won't tell me if I've been accepted early, so I'll just have to tough it out.

Oregonrene - I will definately wave to you if I get accepted!! I'll start in June if I get accepted

Thanks for all your replies!!! I just needed to vent and talk to people in my same situation... :)

two months isn't so long, right???

If I recall correctly, our applications had to be in by the end of July. We sat for our preadmission NLN in September and were notified in October.

All I could think about was getting that letter that started off "Congratulations..."

Hang in there. Hang a lucky shamrock on your mailbox. Have the priest come and bless it. Speak positive thoughts over it.

Hang in there.....

I know how it feels I've been there. I was called by my school just 3 weeks before class started and some of my classmates were called after the orientation day. Keep calling the admissions office and ofcourse don't forget to check your mail.

Keep me posted.Good Luck!!!!
