The wait is finally over...

after over 5 weeks i got my....*drum roll please* [color=#ffd700]acceptance letter for the school i applied to! september 24th will be the first day of my pursing my lpn degree.

i am very excited and very nervous. i have that "oh snap...now what" feeling haha.

i view this as my last and pretty much final attempt to pursue something in school. the funny thing is when i was 18, i had this huge dream. i wanted to become a nurse (rn). the program was very competitive where i was so i switched majors say about 4 times (economics, pre-med biology, sociology, business administration-marketing). it took me close to 11 years (graduate from college in 2001) to finally realize where my heart has always been.

it was hard waiting and i was ready to accept the outcome either way it went. just so thankful it went the way i was praying it would. :lol2:

...now to really hit the books :)

Don't ever give up on your dream. Congratulations!

Congratulations...I, too, start my Lpn program soon...Oct. 1....Good luck in school!

Congrats! I did the same thing with switching majors over a long period of time. I ended up having to stop everything and go to work. Thankfully, through a series of opportunities, I was able to go back to pursue the only career I ever really wanted so I know how you feel. I will be starting my program next month :yeah:.

I'm 29 (just turned). It is a wonderful feeling :)

Congrats to you, it's a very exciting thing! Please don't think I'm picking, I swear I'm not, but....it's not a degree you're looking to get, but a certificate that lets you sit for the NCLEX-PN licensing exam. Not an LPN degree, but an LPN license :)

Now go get 'em!

I understand :) I guess I meant more along the lines of the first step to pursing a BSN as this is the course I've taken :)

Thank you!

Wanted to say thanks to everyone who wished me well. For those who are starting as well, I wish you the best of luck!!!

Congratulations!!! I'm 36 & about to finish LPN school this month & I remember very well how I felt getting my acceptance letter a year ago. Once I take my final exam, I'll start working toward the LPN-RN bridge program & job searching! (and the nclex of course...ugh)
