The Wait Begins... Any Other NVCC 2012 Hopefuls?

So, after a few years of pre-requisites and co-requisites and getting used to school again after a break for a few decades, I finally submitted my application for the Traditional program at NOVA.

I have a feeling this is going to be a loooong 5 or so months of waiting.

Anyone else apply/applying?

I was going to sign up for HLT 250 for the summer (which I still can ha) but online the nursing program description said that the non-nursing classes in the program must be taken before applying, otherwise you take them during the nursing program. Is this not true? Can you still take them this summer?

I am an LPN and applied for the LPN-RN track but didn't see a forum for that track so decided to join this one since I figured we were all in the same boat waiting for those letters to come out saying we are all accepted I hope that is OK???:-) I also sent my application with tracking which said it was delivered yesterday at 10.40am, the next 4 weeks are going to be sooooooo long but hopefully we will hear before that!!

All your stats look really good since I didn't have to take the TEAS test I am not sure what they look for as an LPN-RN student maybe my grades in LPN school which are all 4.0 and I have 4.0 in all prerequisites but a 3.66 cum gpa because of some classes I took in 1997, yes I am old 38, but am so ready to become an RN!!!! :-)

Hi KH8911-

I spoke to someone within the nursing division and they stated that it was okay to take any co-reqs prior to being in the program, including the summer semester. Once you are in the program, you have to follow the track they have designated.

Thanks! I tried to call yesterday and today and kept being sent to voicemail...maybe they are busy with all the applications coming in. Well I signed up for the second session with ellwood in case anyone else is in that...now to just find out if I got into the program! ha

Does anyone know if we have to wait the entire 4 weeks or do they sometimes send out letters earlier??

The wait is making me crazy and it is only the first week!! :bugeyes:

Hey LPN-RN2012

From what I heard it takes about 4 weeks to review all applicants...nursing dept advised they send out all letters at the same time (whether accepted or not). I'm right along with you on the crazy, anxious feeling...its gonna be a rocky summer to start.

Yeah I'm pretty sure it's 4 week no matter what. Good time to pick up a new hobby... cycling, lifting, etc 8)

HLT 250 is an easy class. Too bad, i don't think my teacher (took it at mec) still teaches...

what an exhausting wait!
