The University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) DNP Dual FNP/PMH

Nursing Students NP Students

Published

Hello, last month, I got accepted into the University of TN Health and science center's DNP dual FNP/PMH in Memphis, TN. I was wondering if anyone else wants to connect before starting the program. I'm moving from Texas and would love to be roommates with other DNP students if we connect to save myself some money or be friends.

I also don't mind living by myself. I do have an indoor Persian cat. I don't know the area well but have heard about the city being dangerous. Please do advise if you know the area well. TIA.

Unfortunately I wasn't accepted into the dual FNP/PMHNP program BUT they did accept me into the DNP PMHNP. So no FNP for me. Good luck class of 2026 ?

What are you guys price range? If anyone need any recommendations I would recommend these areas for safety reasons and less crime.

-Cordova, midtown, Germantown, olive branch, and cooper/young area. Crime is everywhere yes, but these area are some good areas to look into. Any other questions please feel free to ask..

I also just received another email about a second interview. Pray for me please ?

My max price is $1100 w/o utilities. Thank you for the recommendations.
Congratulations on the interview and you got this!! God bless and good luck ??

Good morning,

No, I haven't yet. I have been looking at apartments nonstop but I need to quit doing that until July gets here. I don't plan on getting there until July 27. My RN license is still being endorsed over to TN, so until then, I will continue working here in TX. How about you? Congratulations on the admission!!

Thank you. Congratulations to you too. I currently just started looking. Since I just got accepted there still needs to be a lot that I need to set up and very little time.

Currently thinking maximum 950, preferably in an appartment complex with most amenities already present. Good luck on your second interview.

Once you get a student ID and a login, you can check the UTHSC student housing and see profiles of other students looking for roommates. You can check out the housing list without a login. It will show you apartments, room rentals, and sublets. I saw a few room rentals from $450 to $1000.

Hello I know I'm late but how is the interview format ?

The interview is integrated through a virtual platform called Kira. It should be a tab to complete it through the NursingCas. They will ask questions, you have a minute to prepare and then you respond by talking and I even had one where I had to type a reply to a question. It took maybe 15 minutes and you will get to do a practice run as well to test it out.

Thankyou and how many times are we required to be on campus

You're Welcome, This is what the website says. Be sure to check out the CON website for FAQs.

Required on-campus experiences are scheduled occasionally as a part of specific courses to provide structured experiences such as with simulation. In the FNP program, students will be required to be on-campus 4 times during the first semester for the advanced health assessment course. Intensive skills labs and simulation occur 3 times per year - August, December, and May. On-campus experiences may last 1-3 days and are identified 6 months in advance. A published schedule is located on the CON academic calendar page.

You deserve an award Thankyou boo!

Thank You! You are Welcome.
