So you know, in the program.... your major exams in the class MUST average to 80%. If lets say you have 3 tests and the 3 average to 79% BUT you have quizzes and assignments that help you.....and at the end of the course you have an 85%, you DID NOT pass. This is because your average of the exams was below 80%.
If they continue to require the in person orientation, which I hope they do not..... I recommend staying at the Hampton Inn at 600 Harper Lee Drive Tuscaloosa AL. Great hotel! Was very clean and quiet. There is a great BBQ/Bar restaurant next door that is very popular. I ate there every night.
In orientation on the first day they provide breakfast and lunch. The second day is a short day and they provide breakfast.
I suggest you dowloading all the powerpoints and having questions ready. It's a looooong day and you are exhausted by the end of the day. If you have the questions ready it will be much easier.
They use BLACKBOARD which I prefer.
Quizzes are given via lockdown browser and Tests are proctored.
Next tip: the proctured exams are on examity. They announce when the exams are to be scheduled. Make sure to schedule your exam date and times ASAP! Times fill up soooo quick. I had to schedule one of my tests at 4am!!!
Ill post some info on how to do your Neuro, Pediatric and Muscoloskeletal exams. I created my own "script". Practice! Youll have to record yourself, and it must be within 20 minutes. Youll have to interview someone. No pets are allowed to be im the video, no mirrors etc. They require you to record the ceiling, floor and entire room before AND after the video and they must see everything you are doing on the video. Only the video recorder, the interviewee and yourself are allowed to be in the room.

I am beginning the FNP Online program this year Spring 2023. I haven't found a thread that gives any advice or information regarding the program so I thought I would post. I'll be. posting things as I go along.
First thing is first. The FNP Full time starts clinicals in the Summer while the Part Time begins next year in the Summer. They have a list (very long list) of locations that work with them in several states; however, it is YOUR responsibility to find a preceptor. They are amazing though and work with you BUT it is ultimately your responsibility. Many schools do this as well so this shouldn't come as a surprise.
Lots more to come.
