Anyone applying right now for fall entry? Any current students have any insight into the app process?

Congratulations on taking the first step ? I submitted my resume and everything requested together and about 2 weeks later received the link to complete the virtual interview. That was a little nerve-wracking as you don't know what the prerecorded questions are going to be. They were pretty standardized, they read the question and gave you I think a minute to formulate your answer within a 2-minute time frame. I got my acceptance email 9 days later.

Congratulations! Thank you so much for the insight this provides a good amount of clarity. I will post an update good or bad on my journey. Good luck on the program! You got this!

No I haven't received a request for interview yet. I am just excited I guess. Im sending you good energy! But will keep you posted.

Yes ma'am... same to you!! I look forward to seeing you in orientation!!!

So for those that are still waiting on your acceptance I thought I would share what comes next. First after being accepted is the drug and background check. Then official transcripts, letter of intent, scheduling an appointment with an advisor, and your commitment to enroll. There are a few minor steps mixed in with that like downloading an app for safety etc. The packet should be arriving to me soon. I received my curriculum and noticed it is now 780 clinical hours instead of the original 540 you see on the requirements. Trying to remain calm LOL!!

It's been so much going on forgot the background and drug screen step. For those interested I completed the drug screen on a Monday by Wednesday afternoon the school received. The background check I ordered like a 3 am the Sunday before the drug screen when I saw the request and it came back Tuesday partially done and fully done Wednesday. The delay was waiting on the Illinois background check so if multiple states may add some time.

I'm making my final decision between the University of Alabama and another school I have been accepted to since I am now considering the BSN-DNP route since the plan was to eventually go back anyway. From talking with the other school due to recommendations from a lot of state boards clinical hours are being increased pretty much everywhere across the board. You got this.

Thanks for the info. That's awesome you have two options. I heard there is a site that has information for clinical preceptors etc. Anyone know anything about this? I no longer have the connections like I did when I did bedside nursing so I'm curious how difficult it will be to arrange.

Kind of a weird question but what time did everyone get their acceptance emails? I interviewed last Friday morning, so I'm just keeping my eye out now for a rejection or acceptance email!

Hi! I applied to UA for Fall 2024 PMHNP program. I interviewed on 2/18 and still haven't heard back. I reached out to Vickie Samuel and she told me I would hear something back within two weeks, and it's almost at the two week mark and still haven't heard anything back. I was accepted at the university of southern Indiana, but my preference is to attend UA. I feel like I should count myself out at this point though

Thank you ? I have been seeing a lot of people who have said they use preceptor tree or clinical match in some of the facebook groups I am in. I have not done any research on these yet so not sure if free or a paid service.

Hi! Yes I checked through all of my boxes just a sec ago and I have no email with a decision. My status on the UA portal says "Department Review in Progress".. not really sure if anyone else is in the same boat as me. Also, I've read that if you receive an interview invitation, your chances are pretty good. Do you think there's any truth to this or have you heard from others?
