The really quick NCLEX results!

Published

I was thinking after taking the NCLEX that it would be awesome if they can give you your results of the nclex right after you are finished with the nclex. It is very nerve wrecking and crazy to have to wait for days or even weeks until you find out your results.

And don't tell me that there is no technology that can do this. If Kaplan can whip up results of a question trainer test that has 265 questions in 1 second then the NCLEX can do the same.

I know for a fact that the test center you completed your test already know as soon as you are finished, if you passed or not.

So imagine this, as soon as the blue screen comes on indicating that you are done with the NCLEX. you walk out of the room and you are given your results in an an envelope. Now wouldn't this be awesome, instead of waiting and worrying.

However, I know that this will not happen because the testing center will have to hire security or even counselors at the testing stations for all the distrout and emotional people after they find out their results, regardless if is good or bad.

They almost had to have a counceler for me and I didn't even know yet. :lol2:

I remember saying something to the 2 women such as... I think I failed, and left. It was all a blur.

It was the most torturous 2 days.

Yes...it would be a good idea, but it would definately have it's negatives.

If I am correct a live person from your state actually goes over your test to verify pass/fail and then they post.

Yes Pearson knows immediately if you passed/failed--but would you want to have that job, a live person, telling a live person they failed???? No way---can you imagine the stress of the others waiting to take their test to hear someone crying, yelling, or losing it after being told you failed?

Yes it would be nice to know immediately, but I have heard people saying they threw up on the drive home because they were so stressed, some people really take the news hard, would you want that person on the road with you, knowing how upset they were?

No not a good thing, I can think of a ton of reason why not to have the testing site give you your results that day.

:typing....I live in Washington State and I found out my results on-line the very next day for free. I logged onto the "Washington State Department of Health" website and clicked on "provider credential search", typed in my name and saw RN with a liscense number next to it, which confirmed that I had passed.

Knowing in 24 hrs for free versus 48 hrs for $7.95 is MUCH BETTER...I am not sure if other states offer their results in this manner, it certainly cuts down on the "stressful waiting game".....:nuke:
