The online school for RN to BSN

Published

Could any one please tell me which the best online school I can get BSN?

How can i make sure it is accredited?

Thanks in advance.

As I write these words, I have just finished the ADN to BSN program from Chamberlain's online. Out of the box, it is a very good program for someone on the go ,and as long as you are close to a WIFI or 3G network you will be fine. Heck, it was awesome to be able to "Post" by cellphone. Before I go any further, allow me to emphasize that the majority of the ADN nurses at my Magnet Status University hospital have attended Chamberlain for their BSN ,and have moved on the acquire additional degrees from other institutions.Sounds awesome, heh ? But more than that, the program was not painful ,and they will work with you. Yes, they are somewhat expensive ,but I am so glad I attended Chamberlain. Oh, I almost forgot - Chamberlain is a combination of DeVry -that means a few of your classes will come from there ,and those are a challenge. However, the make or break class is from DeVry and that is Principles of Economics ,but I earned an A with all kinds of help. Furthermore, that class has caused many to drop and take again later. Matter of fact, I am going to say the program is an 8/10 and would be 10/10 if Econ was at least geared for nurses. So there you have it .

Thanks for sharing the very useful info, i will check into chamberlain for my BSN.

Specializes in ER.

I narrowed mine down to University of Texas at Arlington, Ohio University, and University of Lousiana Lafayette. All are similar priced. However, Lousiana required me to have a license number to apply so that would add more time. Ohio and Texas did not. However Texas took forever for me to accept and even now I do not know whether I am accepted or not in the actual RN to BSN. I am conditionally accepted. I applied to both Ohio and Texas at the same time (12/13/13).

Ohio Jniversity accepted me in Jan and I was registered for the march session the first week of Feb. I have had my degree audit back and fixed. I went to a partner school so all my credits transferred. I have only the nursing and junior comp to complete. If I get into all the classes, I should graduate this December. I am registered for the 3rd sprig and both summer plus one comp at Miami University to save time/money.

Most schools will post ccne or acen somewhere on their site. CCNE is the route is go for my bsn as the military views that as the standard for the programs.
