The ONE thing you simply couldn't do w/o

I just got accepted into the RN program starting Aug. 09 and I started wondering...

What is the ONE thing you current students couldn't do without?

Try to think of your day and what item makes it either easier or simply better.

I thought a great pair of shoes and perhaps the perfect rolling bookbag would be hot topics of conversation, but what else? Netbooks, software, watches, or a particular reference guide?

If possible, please be specific and share YOUR STORY of that ONE thing that has made a difference to you!

My laptop. I take notes on it, synch the information with my smartphone (ohhh maybe that too....), look at my power points, listen to lectures, look up information, practice for NCLEX, study for classes, write papers, EVERYTHING!

Saunders Comprehensive Review for the NCLEX-RN Examination by Linda Anne Silverstri

I studied from it when I didn't possibly have the time to read the million pages assigned in the course textbook by the instructor. It saved my life many many times. I graduated with a 3.9 gpa. It really helped!

 I absolutely agree! I love this NCLEX review book and the companion CD that comes with it! I use it to study for all of my nursing exams and I have found it to be an invaluable tool!

Well, and caffeine too! Gotta have that!

I also absolutely could not have done this without the support of my family and friends. :redpinkhe Between killer exams, long clinical days, good and bad instructors, and all your patients, it is nice to have someone to vent to, cry to, and rejoice with! There are many ups and downs in nursing school and adequate emotional support is critical!
