Good Evening, this question wasnt directed to me but I will be attending OSU this fall and I'm more than happy to help answer any questions. The interview and application process was straight forward. Members of the admission committee were extremely friendly and put you at ease before the actual interview. Be yourself and highlight your strengths. Goodluck

Congratulations!! Do you know the number of applicants that they accepted?

Were the interviews online? How competitive was your GPA? Thanks for the input!

Yes, there was a two part process to the interview. The first is a video recording of you answering questions. After completing the video recorded interview, they may invite you to a zoom interview. My GPA was above what is required. From my experience, OSU looks at an applicant holistically. If your GPA is on the low side, highlight your strengths on your resume. No problem, I'm here to help.

Is the video recorded interview a mixture of clinical and emotional questions?

I would prepare for both, not to sound vague.

Specializes in ICU.

Those of you who applied, do you know how strict they are regarding Statistics taken within the past five years?

I applied and got in. I took stats 9 years ago! I don't think it matters :) - I did get an A in it though

Took Statistics 2 years ago at a Community College. Got an A. If you need the specifics of what the prerequisite statistics course should include, visit the BSN to DNP admission page on the school's website and you should find it there. Wishing you a successful application season!

Hello everyone,

First off, congratulations to everyone who got accepted and is in the program! I'm applying this application cycle and was wondering if anyone knew what kind of questions were asked on the online interview? Did you prepare in advance? Were they emotional intelligence questions or clinical?

thank you,

thank you,

Thank you. I can only speak of my experience, but the online interview process was very relaxed and focused on emotional intelligence. I had a few interview before OSU so I had some practice. The zoom interview was a combination for both EI and Clinical. Wish you the best and I hope to hear of your acceptance.

Was the video interview Emotional Intelligence like the Kira Assessment?
