i have read the posts 'whats happening to the nursing profession' and i ask myself why do we nurses put up with these bad conditions and of course low pay?Well one of the reasons is i love my job and love caring for children. I also know that at the end of the day it's the Governments decision on the way our hospitals are run and at the moment i cant see the Government doing anything. We are paying taxes national insurance which is supposed to be going towards our health care, i cant see any of it going it that direction. The nursing unions are putting the points across. why doesnt the government take note? One day it may be a relative or even themselves in hospital, private or not nurses will continue to leave the profession and people will not come into it. What will happen then???
