The never ending wait for my ATT....

Nursing Students NCLEX

My school emphasized how important it was to take our NCLEX within 4-6 weeks of graduation! I wanted to get mine done quick, so I started studying for NCLEX back in July. I submitted all my paperwork that month and also paid the testing fees. Now the reality of how long it takes to get an ATT is setting in! My school sent in completion letters electronically about 14 days ago. I just thought it would happen so much faster than this.

I constantly stock my email in search of this message. I feel like I am going crazy! To make things worse I have two potential job offers, one of which is my dream job! I can't start either of those positions until pass boards! UGH!

Anybody else want to vent?!? This is like the last cruel joke they play on nursing students lol

That's terrible! The BON. And nursing schools need to improve this process. It's amazes me how much anxiety and money it requires to become a nurse

It took me almost 6 weeks to get my ATT!!! One of my classmates called the BVNPT and they told her that we should expect it in about 2-3 more weeks and we received it about 3 days after, I was very surprised. There were no appointments to take NCLEX in my area for several weeks and I wanted to take it asap but I ended up scheduling it for about 2 weeks away with a 3.5hour drive. I was really not happy with my original appointment so I went back online the same day and by chance I guess someone had canceled and I found an appointment for just % days away!! I took my NCLEX yesterday and now I have to wait about 4 weeks for my results.....gotta love California.

The sad part is that I have to take it before October 19th! I landed by DREAM job and it is a fellowship so I cannot delay the start date. I know the BON in Ohio is about to learn my name lol It is ridiculous. how long they can make you wait. I am hoping that since it is not a "peak time" to graduate the process goes a little faster.

Good luck to you! I'm sure you did great! A 4 week wait is KILLER! I would be going nuts

I feel you. I'm losing my mind because several classmates applied the same day or after I did and they have received their ATTs while I'm still waiting. Today is week 12 post initial application, week 4 after graduation.

Evelynnd that is crazy! At least none of my classmates have theirs either. I would be so upset knowing that others have theirs and I don't. I don't know how they are allowed to take this long! I would seriously pay them to process my paperwork. I am trying to stay positive! I just hope they don't keep me from my job offer! I'm not worried about passing at this point I'm worried about actually being able to test in time! UGH
