The Medical City

Hi everyone! Just want to ask if there's anyone out there who has an idea if Medical City is currently accepting applicants? Or if their schedule for trainings is ongoing? I wanted to follow up my application there.. I passed the Clinical and Psychological exam last June 2008 but until now I haven't heard anything from them.. I am thinking if I would submit my papers and start all over again or just follow it up..

Thank you in advance for all your replies! :)

Thanks zephyrine and xoxo:) for your replies! I reckon I just have to wait for their text. I actually gave them a call earlier this week to follow-up on my application and I was informed that I passed the final interview but then I just have to wait because there are batches ahead of ours who still haven't started their trainings.

Thanks and God bless! :)

Hi Chocokat79! :)

That's super great to hear :) As I said over and over, HR is really having a hard time pooling nurses and having them to wait for a long time for an opening. We waited 3 months fro them to lessen the pool. But I'm not really sure how it went.

Inform me when your training schedule will be so we can see each other there. Mine and xoxo will start this coming september. :)

God bless!! :)

Hi guys I am so happy! I finally got a text message from HR last Monday and yesterday I went to TMC for the endorsement yay! Now I'm compliling all the requirements.. Quite a lot actually :D

Question to those who already had the NTAP: Are scrub suits (of course, all-white) allowed? Or does it have to be the standard blouse with collar and pants for girls? I forgot to ask yesterday if they would allow scrub suits...

Thanks in advance to those who can reply! :nurse:

Hey there! Congratulations! :) It took me a whole month to finish everything, but the earlier you finish, the better :) Although if it would take a long time for the training, spare the hurry.. the lull time will prolong your agony :D

Anywhoo... About the uniform, as far as i can remember, HR just said ANY WHITE NURSING UNIFORM. But she did suggest to wear pants because there will probably be activities that would require you to use the floor and such.. prolly BLS or something.. Although I will let you know if no one replies to this question of yours when i start. However, I think the standard staff nurse uniform *as in blouse and pants* is more professional to wear :)

Good luck dear! Let me know when your training will be :) GOD BLESS :)

thats good to hear! you joining us on september 2?

Dear ALL,

I just came across this thread today.

I registered thru their computer a year ago. No call or txt from them. I tried to follow up once in a while and was asked to wait a little longer. Do you think I still need to register again? :D

Thanks... :)

are they accepting applicantS?

me too.. i applied last year.. i registered... and no one called me back... my average is 80++ but i didn't hear anything from them? sad... huhu

Wow. This thread is long! But very very helpful! :)

I'm currently waiting for the June 2010 board results and keeping my options open. Reading through this, I see that the waiting time could take months long before you even get to have an interview for the job. I wanted to ask: WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN DOING WHILE WAITING FOR THE HR TO REPLY? Thanks for sharing! :nurse:

I treat it as a vacation. Because once we start, God knows when we'll ever catch a break right? :D

@Jasper: HAHA. Really? That must be easy to say but hard to do. Especially with all the pressure around (ie. family obligations, zero productivity, undone dreams piling up, neighbors talking... hahaha). BUT HEY, nice mindset you have there! That's something I never expected to hear. Thaaanks JASPER. :D

I guess I should really start finding joy somewhere here...

It's just a matter of how you look at it. Is the glass half-empty or half-full?

You can also use the time helping out in the community. Reviewing for foreign exams. Catching up with fellow unemployed friends hahaha! If worse comes to worst, try your luck in the call center industry. It's fairly easy to enter and unbelievable easier to leave hahaha!

jasper, you are also following this thread? I'm Christian from Ospital ng Sampaloc... how do you do now? been hired as a staff? Me, I'm still waiting for Sta. Ana... though still no hope... now, trying my luck in medical city. hahah
