The college bookstore is so frustrating

Published

The second year nursing staff gave homework assignments when the first years finished up this last May, to complete over the summer. The bookstore would not sell us the books in May because they were saving them for the accelerated program students. Then they ran out :angryfire and 2 months later they still don't have the books in. School starts the 22nd of August and we are to have the complete text of " The Manuel of IV Therapeutics " read before class begins. I read pretty fast so I know I will be able to read it fairly quickly when it comes in, but it sure would be nice to get started.

Just thought I'd chime in... I just purchased all my books using a discover card, which will also give you cash back. Of course it's only 1%, BUT, if you have to spend the money anyway, you might as well get something back. I got the card just for this purpose, and will pay the balance with my financial aid money.

I agree because it is very frustrating at times. I say go with the other suggestions of looking for your books elsewhere. You can also try half.com

Best of luck to you :)

I started shopping for my books as soon as the book list arrived in the mail back in May. I purchased almost all of my books on ebay and saved a fortune! The only ones I haven't bought yet are the Carpenito because the newest addition isn't out yet so I will be paying full price and I believe I still need a lab diagnostic book but I might just get that one for my PDA.
