Turkey EMERGENCY!!

Turkey was still frozen inside after 4 days thawing darn 16lb bird in refrigerator.  Chef son commandeered da bird,  roasted at 500 degrees for 40min for browned skin, then sealed roaster pan top + bottom with tinfoil so no heat escaped, back in oven at 350F till done -- ~ hope to have done 1hour later than  6PM planned time.

HS Football: Ridley Raiders defeated my Interboro Bucs 35-7 this morning. OUCH... My 50th HS reunion will be next year, sure to be part of our gabbing.

My 45 yo enameled roaster makes the moistest Turkey --can hold  a 26 lb bird--going with just 16lb as only 3 for dinner.

 

 

Making breakfast sausage casserole now for son to pop into oven tomorrow morning.   Easy sides tomorrow.   Dessert request: only Cinnamon Rolls...no pumpkin pie this year.

Glad San Fran won.  Will be a better challenger this week for my Eagles, suspect much closer game as we win NFC division.

Honestly, I'm okay w all 4 of the teams, well deserved!! ?This has been a VERY interesting season. I love how Cincinnati pulled from behind like a dark horse, didn't  see that coming.   P Mahomes, aaah can't say enough about that guy. Out there playing hurt talking bout pain is pain LOL yea okay. If I had that money I'd be out there playing injured in championships naked haha! ?  So proud of Jalen and the birds, especially him representing and running that ball out there like a God, every inch counts!! ?Sorry J Fields, we saw you tho!! ?and my 3 scary QBs (push it to the limit—Scarface movie music)  What a surprising rookie, I'm in my feels.
