It's FRIDAY!!!! We having been getting out of school at 1 p.m. all week for parent teachers conference. So I was so happy about that and it's almost time for THANKSGIVING BREAK!!!! YAY!!! This is the best part of being a school nurse! Is anybody else as excited as me? And what's your plans for the Thanksgiving holiday? Oh I forgot to mentioned that I even get to walk across the hall to see my daughter get her student of the month award!! SCHOOL NURSING ROCKS!!

I'm so ready. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday to begin with, and we only have school M/T next week. Also, I'm working my very last hospital shift on Black Friday. It's bittersweet. I kept PRN hours for a bit after starting in the school, in case I didn't like this gig, I could go back easily. I really like the staff there, but the schedule was no bueno (my husband and daughter were practically strangers last year, since I worked PM shift). So while I'm sad to be leaving that great team, I'm so, so, so happy to be working my last weekend/holiday shift ever.
My whole family is in IL, like me, so we'll be going to my parents' house. They both love to cook, and are far better at it than I am. We just have to bring pie, which is easy enough! My husband prefers my siblings and parents to his, so he's happy with the arrangement:)
