Can anyone give me any advice about whether or not I should send a thank you letter after I've accepted a job offer? I interviewed last Thursday, promptly wrote thank you letters to the two interviewers, which they probably received Tuesday because Monday was a holiday. They called this Thursday to offer me the job (for a Nurse Aide position). Is another letter of thanks overkill? Thanks for any opinions!

Thanks is a wonderful thing if you mean it. Do what your heart says and mean what you say.
Don't worry about the politics.

I am a firm believer in thank you notes. I am in my present position because of the thank you I sent to the hospital admin. after my interview 5 years ago. You can go never wrong showing appreciation!
:specs:Right on! Can you tell I tend to overthink things sometimes?! Thanks for your level-headed responses.

I think thank you notes, handwritten ones, mean a lot to people. The new job I'm about to start I probably got largely d/t my thank you note. She raved on and on and on about it not only to me but also HR. She was really touched that I wrote her a note.

After my interview I made sure I sent thank you letters. I do feel like it makes you stand out. However, after I was offered the position I called up the nurse manager and thanked her on the phone for offering me the position and told her how excited I was to start. I just felt like sending out 2 thank you letters to the same person within such a short period of time was too much. That's just my opinion though. But to be honest, you can't go wrong either way.
Congrats on your job!! :flwrhrts:
