Today my husbands grandmother died. I wanted to thank all of the hispices nurses. They were awesome! I was so thankful to the nurses who worked with my MIL, they made the passing of her mom a little easier. I think you nurses are the best! Thank you for all that you do for familes.

I am so glad that you had an okay experience with death...that is our goal. Each of us have patients who feel that we as individuals are the best...the reality is that each of us is committed to walking a difficult path with patients and families to ease the process of death and to the elevate the living that occurs before (to the degree we can). We do this with the necessary help of great professionals across a disciplinary field. More people should have access to and benefit from hospice at end of life.
Having said that, it is demanding work which we love. Your sentiments mean a great deal to us and outcomes like yours are often the fuel for the fire in our bellies...thanks.

I second your thanks to hospice nurses. I recently got hospice involved in my husband's care { terminal colon cancer }. I am able to be his wife, not his caregiver, and the hospice nurse does a remarkable job of caring for both of us. My hat's off to all of you fantastic hospice nurses !! Thank you !!!!
