Thank you food from nursing students

Published

We (the nursing students) want to give the nursing staff at our clinical site some sort of food gift on the last day of clinical. Our instructor suggested bagels or donuts but I thought this was not very exciting. I like the Edible Arrangement fruit bouquet but if refrigeration is not available, a food safety violation could occur. Any creative, safe suggestions? Thanks! :)

I bet they loved it. Very thoughtful. Any treat is a great treat. :)

I did like the veggie tray and Mexican dip with tortilla chips someone mentioned. Umm... lol

So you know for future clinicals: be careful when asking because if there's one thing nurses have a hard time resisting, it's free food. And some may get wild and crazy with the requests... :)

What you ended up bringing (the bagels and donuts), sounds like a great idea. Generally anything that's hardy enough to stand up being in the nurses' lounge/kitchen all day without possibly seeing a refrigerator is a good choice. Besides, IMO it's the gesture and feelings behind it that means more than the edibles.
