5th edition Saunders NCLEX-RN or 6th edition Saunders NCLEX-RN

Nursing Students NCLEX

I'm just confused what book I'm gonna buy, they said 5th edition Saunders NCLEX-RN have the same content with 6th edition Saunders NCLEX-RN. Any advice?

If I were you, I would go for the 6th edition. The 6th edition was published AFTER the change in the NCLEX passing standards (implemented on April 1st, 2013). The 5th edition was published in 2010, long before the most recent change in passing standards.

As for the differences, I don't know, but I do that the newer is usually better :shy:.

I was just at the library looking at the 6th edition and comparing it to the 4th edition that I have. 6th edition has a few more pictures and some of the questions are different. Content is mostly the same.

From what I understand, the 6th edition comes with online access to the practice questions while the 5th edition comes with a cd. I have the 5th edition and the cd makes a good coaster to place under a cold beverage because I have an iPad and a small laptop that does not have a CD-ROM drive. I'll be buying the 6th edition soon.

Your responses are highly appreciated. I think I will probably buy the 6th edition. I found a very good deal at Amazon.com.
