Alright,I hate my textbook. It's Lippincott's Fundamental's of Nursing..I feel like there is so much filler and not enough information.Does anyone else use this and do you hate it as much as I do?/? So frustrating with this book.
tcgirl 54 Posts Oct 6, 2010 We use Rosdahl's "Textbook of Basic Nursing", also by Lippincott. I actually like it, for the most part. It tends to break things down and uncomplicate them, which is nice for people like me with little to no medical background. On the flip side, Memmler's "Structure and Function of the Human Body" (also published by Lippincott) seemed to overcomplicate the issues at times. There are still sections that I read through and don't understand...Sorry you're not happy with your book. Can you supplement it with something a little deeper?

It's well organized but not particularly consistent in the ways it explains things upon return to them. Overall it's fine, I guess, but I have nothing to compare it with.
tkm2005 95 Posts Oct 6, 2010 Potter & Perry... I find it very repetitive... We have like 14 other books but the only one we are really using right now is P&P.
Darjeeling22 48 Posts Oct 6, 2010 We're using Kozier & Erb's Fundamentals of Nursing. I quite like it, and it has its own study guide with oodles of NCLEX-style questions and rationales to pick through.
