Texas Women's University (TWU) - Spring 2025

Hi everyone! 

Thought I would start a thread for TWU Spring 2025 semester. How has the process been for you all? Is anyone still finishing up any pre-reqs/studying for the exam?

 

I'll be applying as a second degree and aiming to have everything sent in by the deadline in August. Later than I would like... but I still need to finish the Microbiology pre-req starting May. I'm also currently studying for the TEAS.

I'm also planning to apply for Dallas campus with overall 3.82 GPA and 91.3% on TEAS. Do You think it's competitive enough?

Hi everyone! Anyone receive an eligibility email? This is separate from the Nursing CAS verifications and I think it comes directly from TWU, saying that the application is eligible to be reviewed and processed.

\I've noticed that this forum has been relatively slow compared to other cycles. Any estimate as to when we would hear back? Anything that y'all wanna discuss together/have questions on?

Hi if you are able t, I would try and re do a class that's not one the 7 nursing pre reqs to up your overall GPA

Hi does anyone know when we are supposed to get eligibility emails? Also does anyone know people that didn't get into TWU Houston at least? My neighbor applied with a 3.8 but a 80 on her TEAS and she didn't get in so it's making me really nervous😭. I thankfully was able to retake some classes before the deadline to help my application but I am still worried

Hey so I did check the other forum they received their emails around next week and the following week if I'm not mistaken. And from what I heard is that the lowest TEAS score twu accepts 85 and up on TEAS but I'm not sure. If you're applying to Houston it is easier to get into that program than the Dallas center. Keep in mind they go based of everyone stats that applies to the program so it might be different! Let's pray we get in 🥹 I know how you feel I'm really nervous once I start thinking about this

Does anyone know if TWU combines our pre-req and cumulative GPA to make one overall GPA? I keep seeing everyone use one GPA but I'm not sure if they're posting their pre- req GPA?

Hi we are just posting our overall GPA. TWU tends to look at our science GPA more closely. My advisor said the competitive science GPA was 3.7+. I hope that cleared some things up for you.
