Texas Women's University (TWU) - Spring 2025

Published

Hi everyone!

Thought I would start a thread for TWU Spring 2025 semester. How has the process been for you all? Is anyone still finishing up any pre-reqs/studying for the exam?

I'll be applying as a second degree and aiming to have everything sent in by the deadline in August. Later than I would like... but I still need to finish the Microbiology pre-req starting May. I'm also currently studying for the TEAS.

has anyone paid for the castlebranch compliance tracker yet? if so, has it shown up on your account? I purchased mine about a week ago, but my account still only shows the background check information.

I purchased mine and I haven't had any trouble. It showed up right after purchasing. I did notice that they wanted it to be with the TWU email, not sure if that makes a difference because I did already have an account from a different program. I'd probably check that payment went through and if so reach out to CastleBranch

Hopefully they can figure out what's going on quickly!

yes I paid for the compliance tracker and it shows up on my account. It's located under the To-Do list and it has immunizations and some documents to sign.

If you've been waitlisted, be on the lookout for a spot next week (houston). I just declined my offer due to acceptance somewhere else.

good luck!!

I was waitlisted. Just got in today. They told me I had until Nov 8th to accept. So I assume they are going week by week until December.

Hello,

anyone starting this Spring at Houston TWU?
im coming from Dallas and currently looking for a place to stay

Hey yall, I know it's a dumb question, but do yall know anyone who got into twu nursing with a low GPA , like 3.2-3.3 range ? I'm asking this because im a transfer student from Dallas college and I'm getting ready for Spring 26 application and I had a lot of ups and downs in personal lives that affected my GPA it dropped straight from 3.6 to a 2.7 and then I somehow managing to get it back but deadline is important too. My TEAS is scheduled in 10 days I'm trying hard to ace that. But I'm scared of rejections because basically I'm already a semester late and I never intended to drop my GPA the way it did . For medical experiences I was an EMT student and clinal student and has some volunteering experiences under some nurses. Also I heard Denton campus is starting the new upper division too.  I know Dallas is super competitive too. Any suggestions ? Because if I don't get in this semester all my plans will go in vain.

Hey! So I had a similar GPA and my TEAS was 86. I also have my EMT and MA (finished right before classes started). I'm a second degree and career change so I don't know if that made any impact on their decision making but I got into Dallas! I'd just be sure to talk about the factors that led to your GPA dropping as much as you're comfortable doing, I had something similar happen but it wasn't a huge drop thankfully (only because I already had so many credits) and really talk up any clinical experience you have already! But also as a side note, if you don't happen to get it this semester, don't stress too much and just work on getting as much extra experience as you can (coming from someone that took 6 years for their first degree). I hope this helps!!

That's so great to know and I'm glad you got it. If you don't mind can you tell me what was your exact GPA? I can only raise my GPA to a 3.26 before the deadline and I had so much going on to where my GPA dropped literally from 3.5+ and I struggled so much to get it to where I am. And I heard Denton is starting a new program so that's my first choice and I'm applying to Spring 26 (which I hope fingers cross is less competitive). Thank you so much tho

Honestly, I wish I could tell you my exact GPA, but I had 6 different schools and 6 years going into it, it gets a bit tricky to calculate😅 I do think they probably do a pretty holistic review of everything, especially if you talk about what led to the drop and they can see the effort you put in to get it back up! Hopefully the Denton one works out for you!!
