Texas Women's University (TWU) - Spring 2025

Published

Hi everyone!

Thought I would start a thread for TWU Spring 2025 semester. How has the process been for you all? Is anyone still finishing up any pre-reqs/studying for the exam?

I'll be applying as a second degree and aiming to have everything sent in by the deadline in August. Later than I would like... but I still need to finish the Microbiology pre-req starting May. I'm also currently studying for the TEAS.

Hey y'all, I'm planning on applying to the Houston campus. I wanted to ask how do we submit our background checks

In the application there's a document you click and it tells you where to go it gives you a code. I think it's in the information about the background check that's where I found it

Thank you! Also, I took a class called biomedical statistics at my current school, do you think this will count as the "statistics" credit needed?

Give your most honest opinion on my stats and chances of getting in. My GPA is 3.82 and my TEAS was an 82. I know it's not good at all. I have experience as a CNA and medical assistant. I'm hoping to use all my luck to get in 🙂

Your stats are good! what campus are you applying to? Dallas is more competitive than Houston. I've heard people get accepted to houston with those scores.

I was finally able to reach them after like 3 days LOL. They said that since there is not transfer equivalent for biostatistics then it would not be considered as the elementary statistics class needed. But good luck to yall!!

Hi I think you can get in! if you are applying to Dallas I would retake the TEAS for a higher score because I talked to the TWU advisors. They said competitive GPA and TEAS scores are a 3.7+ and a 84+ for most students applying. I'm currently retaking non nursing pre req classes (like arts and English)vfor fall semester to up my GPA.

Thank you! And I used my personal email

Hey! I talked to an advisor this week and she told me we have to use our TWU emails. I contacted castle branch and was able to make the email switch in a week! I would say to contact as soon as possible

Does twu look at both GPA? Nursing pre req and overall? I wonder which one they look at more

I just submitted my application. I am hopeful but seeing you alls stats makes me nervous.
I applied with 3.6 GPA and 83 on my TEAS. I have experience as a medical assistant which I hope helps a bit. No prior bachelors.

also, there doesn't seem to be that many people on this forum like on previous years. Maybe Spring is a little less competitive than fall?
best of luck everybody. Hope we all receive acceptance letters in October.

I think you will be fine! And usually Spring is less competitive than fall because everyone usually applies in the fall. Let's hope we all get accepted
