I applied to the Spring 2020 TWU Dallas campus FNP program and I have a few questions for those already in the program and/or the ones that have applied for this same start date. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
1) First, I heard most people apply to multiple campuses to be sure but I am based in dallas and prefer not to travel. I am okay however, with applying for the Denton campus. Anyone here who wasn’t accepted to the Dallas campus even after perfectly meeting all the requirements??
2) How long does it take to hear back from them? I applied this month, will I hear back by next month?
3) when do the in-person classes start? 2nd semester or the second year? Say, if I want to only take 2 classes at a time, how many days a week do I need to go to class? How many hours is a typical class?
4) I have a easy low stress job where I can sometimes study(three 12 hour shifts a week), will I be able to keep doing it while taking 2 classes a semester throughout the program? I do have a toddler as well.

I would call the office directly and keep calling until someone gives you an update. They aren’t the most organized and the application statuses don’t get updated accordingly. I got accepted to both Denton & Dallas FNP program and decided to go with Denton. It took a lot of phone calls and e-mails to get any accurate info honestly. Though Denton seems more organized than DALLAS overall. good luck

Hey! Yes! FNP. I am. A close friend of mine who had wanted to start at Purdue Global applied there and was also accepted. We went through BSN together and I’m stoked he’s coming here with me ?
Are you planning on attending the orientation in December? Someone in the office said it may no longer be on that date (Dec. 4th). Ot, it may actually end up being all online (like a non-credit course form)- or a combination of both- for those that aren’t willing to make that in-person trip. I live in Lufkin, TX and I certainly don’t want to make the trip if I can miss it. Ya know, we could try and network here if possible and hold each other accountable. The ride will guarantee turtuosity.
Have you heard back yet? I emailed Dr.*** and the general twu nursing email but haven’t received a reply. Mine still says awaiting review
I haven't received my letter yet but I saw my status change to unconditionally accepted!!!! I don't have an email in my student email so I guess I just wait for the letter?? How long does it take to complete the program? I can't seem to find info on that.
