Texas Woman's University (TWU) FNP Spring 2024

Hey guys! 

I don't see a thread for the Spring 2024 cohort of TWU's FNP program yet so I thought I'd start one. I'm doing the online FNP program. Anyone else applied already?

Oh wow! Have you followed up? I suppose to have an admissions call about the process next week, I'm definitely going go ask a million questions. I'm also going to apply for other programs as well, just in case.

I'm planning to follow-up this week now that they've gotten the Fall 2023 classes started. But apparently it took quite some time for people from this semester to hear back as well so that makes me a little nervous!

Now I'm nervous! My recently submitted application is more than likely on the bottom of the barrel?

From what it looks like with previous classes they start sending out decisions 2 months after the admission deadline so should be around mid-September!

 

Edit: And the very last person to receive acceptance was ~ 4-5 months after the admission deadline?

Just received a call from my admissions counselor. He said with Fall classes starting this week the admissions committee will be able to start reviewing Spring applications soon. We should start hearing back in September guys (early October at the latest)!?

Awesome, thank you! I'm a little nervous because I just submitted my application. My appointment is today at 1pm with my admissions counselor. ???? for all of us!

Don't be nervous! Whether you're 1st or 50th in line if you deserve to get in you will! Let us know how your meeting goes?

So spoke with the admissions counselor and I'm pretty much at the bottom of the barrel! Kind of like first come, first serve if an applicant qualifies....it's only 90 seats. He said some people with decline their acceptance for various reasons.  Along with the other competitive requirements of GPA. 90 applicants accepted, I'm sure way more applied. But, what's mine will be mine????

Yeah gotta stay positive. When September rolls around we'll all keep each other updated and hope for the best??

I'm glad to see I'm not the only impatient one!! I reached out to my advisor and my application is "under review" but he also mentioned since the Fall semester started recently that it delays application review for Spring. He said we should see decisions within the next few weeks.

Once we start hearing back we should definitely create a FB page to be able to communicate with each other.
