Texas Woman's University (TWU) Fall 2024

Published

Hey there everyone,

Noticed no one made a topic for the twu fall 2024 cohort applications yet so I thought I would do it. Maybe it's just too early, but Im itching to get started! Has anyone already taken TEAS and finished all prerequisites? I'm nervous because I'm transferring in with no previous bachelors so I have no preference.

That's pretty good. I have a 3.3 and I'm worried I won't get in. I do have a previous bachelors from Twu and I'm praying that will help me.

It definitely will! Don't worry you got this. Did you apply to any other schools though? TWU keeps emphasizing that you should always have a backup plan because 80% of people who choose nursing don't get in. ?

How lone did it take to get accepted into twu just the university ?

I am applying to nursing schools and my dream school is TWU Houston. I know admission is competitive, I have a 3.18 GPA and 87.4% on TEAS, I also have a CNA and BLS license, Im not sure if I have good chances.

Has anyone applied/been admitted to TWU's BSN program?

If so, any advice on how to boost my odds?

Hi Everyone,

I'm applying for the fall semester at TWU Houston, but I'm worried about getting in because I'm a transfer student. Does anyone know what the ideal TEAS test scores should be?

I currently have a 3.7 GPA and I'm scheduled to retake the TEAS later this week in hopes of boosting my score. I also have some experience in healthcare (I have my pharmacy technician license and worked as an intern).

Test Attempt 1

TEAS cumulative score: 84.0

Reading: 82.1

Math: 94.1

Science: 75.0

English/Language: 87.9

I would appreciate any feedback! Thanks.

The denton nursing advisors said anywhere from an 84-86 was considered a competitive score. What did you do to study?

If possible I would try to boost that science score that's what they're looking for. I got a 94.7 on the TEAS with a 97.7 on the science section if you need any pointers lmk!

My test is in 2 days and I'm trying to not freak out LOL, I've been studying for a couple weeks. What did you do to study, and how long did you study for?

I would love to know what you did! Thank you

I got the ATI test prep package online and studies all the modules and took practice tests. The first time I took the test, I was only half way through A&P II, and contribute that to the low science score (I hadn't learned everything yet). My suggestion would be to make sure you have completed the science prerequisites before you test.

I made sure to go through all of the ATI test prep, looked through ATI and TEAS quizlets, and tried to give myself about a month to study before the test (they say you should start 6 weeks before the test date).

Hey guys,

I'm also applying to TWU. I wanted to know if anyone has started on the personal statements in NursingCAS? I'm not sure how much they weigh in the decision process. I also heard it's difficult to get in as a transfer student, which sucks for me LOL. I have a 3.9 GPA and 92 TEAS score, though so I'm hoping that will give me extra points.
