I haven't seen a thread for Texas Wesleyan 2022 program start, so figured I'd start one. Has anyone submitted their application yet? I'm just about done wrapping mine up. I noticed they didn't have early application this year like they have in precious?
I applied very late in the application period. I am hoping to receive a positive email to interview. *fingers crossed* The chase for CRNA school is definitely a mental game and so far I have been waitlisted at one school and rejected to 2 without an interview. Staying positive and hopeful though! Good luck everyone.

This application period I have applied to 6 schools total. The three that I have received rejection emails or a waitlist email from are: U of A, Midwestern and Westminster. 2 of the 3 schools strictly use NursingCAS for their selection of applications, which I have read can hurt some applicants depending on their academic history. I have an overall 3.30 cumulative GPA, 3.92 BSN GPA, 3.69 ADN GPA, 3.73 Science GPA, pending O. Chem course this semester (probably will end up with a B, unless the instructor curves and might get an A), 5 years RN as of Feb 2022, 3 years ICU RN as of Jan 2022 and GRE: 287/3.5, CCRN/PALS/ACLS/BLS. Before I left my core nursing job to travel I precepted and was on the wound care committee. I am working on retaking the GRE to try to get a 300/4.0, but the O. Chem class has taken a lot of my time for studying. I have worked in peds, med-surg, PCU-Cardiac focused, surgery, ICU and travel ICU. The ICU I received the bulk of my training was a busy general MICU/SICU. The skills and knowledge I have gained as a travel ICU RN during the last year has been great as well and I have learned different specialities and charting systems. I finally bit the bullet and bought the AllCRNASchools spreadsheet and I might reach out to one of the CRNA influencers who specialize in getting you ready for admissions, interviews, resume, etc. I think the big thing to take away is to keep applying, not give up and reach out to the schools to see where I can improve. At least that is what I am telling myself so I don't give up. LOL. Hope that helps!
For those who are waiting to receive an interview, I submitted my application around September, received an interview on 11/5 and I believe my stats are subpar if that gives you any insight. However, one of my rec letters is from a current SRNA so I’m not sure if that gave me a few bonus points or not. But my stats are: overall GPA 3.2, BSN 3.84, last 60 credit hour 3.8, and science is like 2.8 (LOL, messed up in college and wrote about it my personal statement). I did retake chem 1 and 2 and made A’s in them, as well as ochem with a B+.....and my science GPA was still 2.8 so it was honestly an EXTREMELY far reach when applying. GRE 159Q/145V/4.0. 3 years level 1 ED/trauma, 1 year MICU. Charge and preceptor experience. BLS/ACLS/PALS/ENPC/TNCC/CCRN. Hope this helps some of you guys out. Best of luck to everyone!

Would you mind sharing your stats? Trying to stay hopeful! The waiting is torture. I guess no news is good news? Wonder if anyone has received a not cohort competitive email yet…

Just wanted to post my stats.
BSN GPA 3.5
ADN and undergrad GPA only 3.09 (wasn’t sure what I wanted to do originally and made some poor choices)
Science GPA 4.0 currently taking Gen Chemistry
GRE 301 3.5 writing
CCRN/CEN/ACLS/PALS/TNCC
1.8 years ICU in a level 2 hospital
7 years ED
Do you feel this will be competitive in possibly getting an interview.
I am honestly scared my age may hurt me. I just turned 42. I turned in my application 10/30 on nursingcas.
