Texas Wesleyan CRNA 2023

Updated:   Published

Has anyone else gotten an interview invite? I'm super excited and doing some research on interview style and what to expect!

I didn't see a thread for Texas Wesleyan for 2023 start date so I thought I would add one.

Would love to hear from others and support each other through the interview and beyond ??☺️☺️

It went well. Everyone is very nice and welcoming. Mostly clinical, hardly any pharmacology. Know your pathophysiology and WHY you do something. The EI questions are really off the wall. They are very good on getting you to relax and help you through some things. WATCH THE ORIENTATION VIDEO!!

I mostly got pharmacology questions, a few math questions and ventilator setting questions.

Yes they did! I am primarily from the MICU with a little TSICU experience. So we went over septic shock because I brought it up so I was comfortable talking about it. The person who was also interviewing with me was from the Neuro ICU so he talked about his stuff. I was nervous that they would ask me about something neuro and I wouldn't know but they didn't. For the majority, the questions were strictly from the areas of our expertise if that makes sense and if you mentioned something outside of that, be ready to talk about it. And if you don't know something, just be honest and don't try to wing it. I wasn't sure about something and I told them that but I also said what I did know and I think they liked it. Overall, I loved the professors and different clinical sites coordinators, everyone was very positive and very laid back! So as someone said before, just be yourself and I hope we will all hear some good news next week! ?

So glad it went well! Did yours last the full 90 mins?

That's crazy. I wish they had asked more pharm questions because that is what I studied the most! I literally only had one pharm question and the rest were patho/math/ei.

Mine went a little over

Weird question...should I take paper and pencil in case of a math problem? Did you take anything with you into the interview?

No need, they will give you a paper and a pen. I brought the folder with copies of my resume and application. But I didn't even open it.

Full 90 min for me... but the last 20min was just what questions we had for them

90 min for me too. Seems like last year people would get calls randomly. Some got a call right after the interview and others had to wait for 2+ weeks, so if anyone hears back, please be kind enough to let everyone know, thanks! ☺️ good luck to everyone and fingers crossed we would all hear good news soon enough!

Has anyone else been religiously checking their email already ?

Hopefully, we all get good news soon! They said after the 20th, they rank all the applicants and then decide on acceptance. Expect to hear from them around mid-February, is what I was told. Let's see what happens.

Really solid school, praying for the best.

It lasted the full 90 minutes but time flew! My interview was clinical heavy with a handful of emotional intelligence questions. Interviewers were friendly and definitely tried to help calm us down and make us laugh to ease our nerves.
