Texas Wesleyan CRNA 2017

Published

Hi everyone! I am new to allnurses.com, so my apologies in advance if I've posted this topic elsewhere on the website. I submitted my application and all supporting documents at the beginning of the month to Texas Wesleyan's CRNA program for the entering class of 2017. Has anyone applied this cycle received an interview date or any feedback from the school? Thanks in advance!

Also, super random question. I feel like everyone on this thread who has interviewed has gotten accepted and that's great! Do you think there are people who interview and don't get it? I mean if you bomb the interview I totally get it. But just curious to ease my nerves! :)

Specializes in Critical Care/ICU, Trauma.

I honestly couldn't be sure. I was just told that the TWU course is a "refresher," and you need to already have a basic knowledge. It is just to bring you up to speed and recall all the stuff you haven't used in a decade.

And I don't know about people interviewing and not being accepted. Haven't heard it yet here, but this is the only Avenue I would hear it from.

Thanks for your quick reply mr dearmas! Everyone please keep me posted with you all acceptances!

Harlingen was my first choice simply because of the location. I had a brief phone interview at the end of October.

Wow I must've changed some settings on my email because I haven't been receiving updates when there are new posts! Congratulations to all those who have been invited to interview and accepted! I still have yet to hear back from Wesleyan's admissions office; when I last called I was told my application was still being evaluated. It's been pretty much radio silence since then so I'm starting to think I may not be invited to interview. I am discouraged but will keep posting in this forum until I hear something. I feel as though my application is competitive, but my Bachelor's degree is in Neuroscience, and I wonder if they just prefer the BSN even though it's not technically a requirement. Did anyone who received an invitation to interview have a Bachelor's degree in something other than Nursing? Thanks for the info in advance!

Has anyone heard of any good and safe apartments by TWU that students use? Or houses? Im not sure if the area around TWU is questionable, So I for sure want to live in a safer place in fort worth and pay a little extra than live in an unsafe place. A few names of some apartment complexes that students use would be helpful! Thanks again!

Yea same here. I'm looking for a roommate as well to cut down cost if possible.

I'm open to recommendations as well...

Easton how did your interview go in Boston?!

Anyone else interview at TWU yet? Wanna hear how it went!

I have a spot in Bismarck as well. Will you be doing phase 1 in Fort Worth or Bismarck? I'm planning to complete phase 1 in Fort Worth after consideration of the 2 week extended stays each semester. Congrats on acceptance. Now the planning begins. Response for MayoRN06

Packers23, I'm planning on doing phase 1 in Bismarck as that is where we will be living. I'm married with two kids, ages 4 and 5, so spending the entire year in Fort Worth is out of the question for me. Where are you living/working currently?

MayoRN06, That makes good sense. I'm married, but no kids yet. We live in Madison, WI. I'm still not 100% sure that I will do phase 1 in Fort Worth. Looking forward to getting more information in the near future. Nice to be in touch with you. If you want to get ahold of me in the future, name's Jordan, and my email is [email protected], instead of using this site which I'm not too accustomed to yet. Take care.
