Texas Tech (TTUHSC) RN- BSN Fall 2014

U.S.A. Texas

Published

Hello all, just wanted to start a thread for those of us applying for the Fall 2014 cohort of the RN - BSN program at TTU. I applied a few days ago even though I don't graduate from my ADN program until May. I finished all my pre-reqs for them this summer and just couldn't wait!

I did received a strange email today though... they said they received my transcripts and that I needed nearly every pre-req class to apply for their program. I already sent off for them to evaluate my unofficial transcripts a few months ago and was given the 'all clear' that I had all classes needed. Strange! Not to mention there is no way they could have received my official transcripts from school seeing as how they JUST got back to work today after the holiday. Anyone else get an email like that? I wonder if it's worth replying to or just waiting a week or two.

Anyway, good luck to all whether you are finishing your last semester like me or are already a working RN. :)

Congrats Josh! Did you graduate this May? Our AOG didn't show up until the 22nd (graduated the 9th) and all of us our on the seat of our pants waiting for our ATT. It is stressing me out. I have been told not to hold my breath but also hear there are not many test dates left in June in the DFW area. I don't know if that is true or not.

I just took the nclex yesterday! I'm getting the 'good' pop-up but can't wait until tomorrow to know if I passed!!

Good luck on yours on June 9! Some of my classmates are taking it then.

Congrats GoshoJosh! The PVT is pretty much a sure thing :) I'm getting antsy waiting for June 9th, I wish I would have signed up earlier, but oh well :)

Hey! I'm in the SA area too.

Yep I graduated on May 7, and we had our ATT's the next Friday May 16. I was told by one of our professors that since our school is in Austin, our paperwork is hand-delivered to the Board of Nursing.

I caved and paid the $8 and passed!! Yay!! I start my residency @ St. David's on June 16. Good luck, Jen867, I hope you get it soon!! My AOG showed up May 9 and I had the ATT 7 days later, so yours should appear any day! TexasLVN12, you'll be great! I was not nervous at all until the day before and then it hit me and I felt SO unprepared and almost sick to my stomach. But it wasn't so bad ... the test itself was a blur to me and was over before I knew it. Good luck!!!

That's great Josh! Did you go to ACC? All those dates are the same as mine... That's where I went :)

So I went with UT and turned down Tech. Hopefully that opens up a spot for someone else. Good luck on NCLEX, residencies (I'll be at St Davids), and BSNs, everyone!

took my NCLEX today, got 75 questions and the good pop up! I will be part of Seton's Residency as long as the pop-up is correct :)

So I thought I have turned down TTU but I didn't. I think that's a sign. I am going to go to Texas Tech... I think. It's always been my school. I've been a red raider fan for years. I started at TTU and I think I should finish at TTU.

UTMB is right down the road from me but we are online so who cares!

Wreck'em!

Oh and I got a job in NICU!

I was accepted!!! We should start a fb closed group to keep in contact.

I agree!

Orientation's out guys. BC is $43.50. And if I'm reading this right...the 1 year program is 18 units for Fall 2014 and 12 units for Spring 2014.

From what I understand, there are 2 degree plans. One is 2 semesters, 18 hours in fall (what???) and 12 hours in spring. The other one is 3 semesters with 9 hours in fall, 12 hours in spring and 9 hours in summer.

I am doing the 3 semester degree plan, lol!
