Hello Guys!!I just wanted to create a new thread for the 2013 Texas tech BSN program! I will be applying this December (El Paso) campus. Is anyone else?

I am so excited and hopefully in the near future I can meet you all!

I am so nervous....but I am sure most of you all are feeling the same.

I'm not in your position as I got accepted to Abilene...but PLEASE do not give up because of location!! You have no idea how hard it was for me to get accepted into schools because of my teas score. & although I don't know you. I couldn't stand knowing that location stopped your dreams. The #s that your speaking of are absolutely ridiculous and are a little extreme!!! But to do & it just get over it... I would think you would be happy & have it worth while @ the end! 2 years & your done! Aaaaannddd the smaller the class the better. That's a benefit! A great benefit! I do understand financial bumps as I have no idea how I'm going to pay for an apartment at $500 a month. i won't be working. I hope the best for you!! & I really pray that everything works out for you & your journey :D

I honestly do appreciate it and I can admit that you are right about that....that is so true... i knwo how much i wanted this and it is a blessing truly..i just have to put it in the lords hands so there is a way that i can ge through this financially. thanks so much

Like kierra said, I am not in your position..but one thing i've realized is that getting into nursing is ridiculously getting HARDER AND HARDER. Year by year they are making it competetive, this is funny because recently I read somewhere that by 2017 or 18 there's going to be 18,000 shortage of nurses hahahah!! really you would think they would want to accept more nursing students..lol but noooo!! anyways I just want you to know that i would like for u to just rethink your thoughts i know its a bin overwhelming with those prices. I could also probably suggest you to ask the coordinator if your able switch campuses? maybe they can do something based on your situation. But truly i WISH U THE BEST in all your decisions. :)

I spoke to the coordinator before however she told me that all spots were full which i know it wasnt true based on the recent admissions that were not waitlisted. I guess once they set u in a spot its a permanent thing. I wish I could be joining yall in abiline but im greatful regardless. thanks guys for your kind words. I truly from the bottom of my heart wish u both the BESTTTTTTTTTT in your program and know with characters as wonderful as yalls you both will make the most AMAZING NURSES!!!

I an Odessa admit also, but unlike a few, I live here. I truly do feel for those with the housing situation b/c it is an ugly issue in this area. We are blessed by the oil boom and the work it brings, but it has many downsides too. You can find me on FB under April Carman. Make sure you spell the last name right! I am excited to meet some fellow students!

wow!!! so many people this year at the abilene campus!!! this nursing year is going to be awesome!!! VALJENNINGS where did you find the abilene calendar?, lol i found it like 2 days ago on my phone and now i dont remember where it is...lol

Hey girl, I went to http://www.ttuhsc.com and chose Abilene campus, then our program and then current students and it has a tab that has the academic calendar for 2012-2013 and 2013-2014.

Applying to TTHSC in Dec...and will be a freshman at Tech. Is it possible to be in a sorority and get through the nursing program or is it just too much???
