Hi guys! I'm new to this specific thread, but I have been reading other Tech Nursing threads while I was applying. A few days ago I learned I got in on Contingent Admission! What a relief!

I currently go to Tech but already have roommates if you are looking I think your best bet is on facebook through Texas Tech Pre-Nursing Association facebook group....but worst come to worst all housing around tech is individual leased so you get could lease a bedroom from a 4 bedroom apartment and they would match you with roommates!

Anyone have tips on ENGL 1302 at Tech? It's my last class I have to take before we start in September and I need a good grade in it. Should I take it in person/ online? Who's the best prof? Etc

Engl 2 at tech can be notoriously hard. The essays aren't graded by your teacher but by other teachers in the English department. I'd say just make sure you go to class and make good use of the writing center.

My only concern is if I make a C in this class it could potentially bump me down below the required 3.0 GPA... And I think if that were to happen I would be kicked out before I even started. I don't want to risk making a bad grade if it's a notoriously hard class. Maybe I should consider taking it at another school then this summer?? Like a community college in Lubbock?

Oh well I assume you were offered a contingent admission since you start in the fall right? Wouldn't you just have to make a C to pass ENGL 2 and you'll still be able to start the program? Call the admissions office when they open again and talk to Elizabeth about what your options are.
