I'm totally new to this and I am amazed at all the information this web site provides! Is anyone else on here going to be applying for the TTU Traditional Nursing Program for the Fall 2012 semester? Also, I need to take intro to nursing and pathophysiology this Spring. Is it best just to take it at Tech? Any input would be most helpful!
@ LittlemissRedRaider my comment on the previous page was supposed to go to you.. oopss I haven't quit mastered this comment board yet. Have ya'll gotten the follow up email yet? I am pretty sure we have to pay 100 bucks to reserve our spot and usually (not for sure on this) you have about a month to make a decision. I am going to accept now to reserve my spot-- Tech is one of my top choices. I am considering going to an advising appointment and touring the nursing building (pretty sure they will let me do this)... What all have you guys heard about Tech's nursing program in regards to lecture quality, cilnical experience, NCLEX pass rates, etc. Thanks so much!! Congrats everyone:yeah:
sml0432 - Haha, sorry I missed BOTH of your post! Obviously I am not an expert either :)
This was my top pick of schools and I only applied to the main campus, so I am 100% going to Tech! Yes, I have been to Lubbock. It was last June, my brother and I went up to tour the campus and view the town. Before that I had never been there. Lubbock is a great town and I very excited to be moving up there from my even smaller town further down south! If you tour the nursing facility share you opinion of it on here?? Also, if you decide on Tech let me and the other soon-to-be Lubbock dwellers know!
LittleMissRedRaider and sml0432 I have been to the main Texas Tech University Health Science Center in Lubbock and can say it is AMAZING! It isn't with the actual university, instead it is on a campus nearby. It is pretty much connected with University Medical Center. The campus is divided between he academic building, the library, and the actual hospital. All of the campuses for nursing have similar campus structures I believe, with Abilene being right next to Hendrick Medical Center (they are building their own new building!) and Odessa being next to Medical Center Hospital (That's my campus!!). They are similar to Lubbock, but on just a much smaller scale. Don't know about El Paso though.
LittleMissRedRaider I'm just ready to get some more instructions and get the show on the road, ya know?!
OMG! I am soooo glad I found this website! I wish I knew about this earlier so I didn't have to stress by myself! CONGRATS TO EVERYONE THAT GOT IN ALREADY!!! =) I haven't gotten my acceptance letter yet, but I emailed ***** yesterday, and she said they are still sending out letters. Hopefully by the end of this week, I'll be accepted too! *fingers crossed*
They said they are still sending out emails apparently. I called to ask how long we have to accept the offer and they said a month after all the acceptance email are out, so by the end of the week all acceptance/wait list/denial emails will be sent.
Okay thanks, I know for sure I'm going to accept my offer to the Lubbock campus. I'm so excited and just want this semester to be over with now that I know that I was accepted lol. I already live in Lubbock and I'm looking forward to getting more instructions and the formal letter of acceptance.

Yeah I keep looking at my email in disbelief too!!! It is just so crazy to think that in August I will be a nursing student! I cannot believe it's finally came! Has anybody received any further instructions yet in follow-up emails?
