Hi magreen01,

I have already taken patho, and I am currently taking intro to nursing. Did you also apply to UTEP? There is no way I want to change my major, if I don't get accepted I will just apply to UTEP for the Spring. Have you finished all your prerequisites for the program other than intro to nursing and patho? Have you heard any news on when we'll find out?

No I din't apply to UTEP, to be honest there aren't the most welcoming and helpful people, I didn't get a good impression, I have talked to other people that have talked over UTEP and felt the same way. how was the patho class and the experience taking it on-line? After this semester I'll be done with my pre-requesites, exept for intro Nursing and Patho. I've been trying to persuit this for a while and is very frustrating taking classes and more classes and going no where, also I want to finish somehting before I have to move again. I haven't heard anyhting yet....is taking too long!!

I know how you feel , it is a bit fustrating! I have heard the exact sam thing about UTEP, the advisors were not helpful with me at all (you would think they would be). Since I have taken online classes before I knew what to expect. The patho is a lot of reading and in intro to nursing you have to focus more on discussions and essays. But overall they are not bad:) I know it is taking forever, I think they should at least email to let us know what is going on. I had no idea we wern't having interviews any longer unitl last week. I am trying to be patient and hopefully we do find out soon!!

I'm curious as to when we're allowed to sign up for classes at TTUHSC. I looked online and Texas Tech registration begins April 5th, but I don't see a class schedule out yet for Nursing. So, I'm wondering if we sign up for classes at orientation or just a little later online than normal TTU.

I am hoping we get our formal acceptance email in the next week or so?! Did you get an email today from Tech nursing saying that it might take awhile for the official offer? Ohh and I am working on doing an advising appointment so if that pans out I will let you know how that goes!! BAH so exciting! Now I have to look into scholarships and financial aid... Still waiting to hear back from UTA and midwestern.. So we shall see!

Yes, I did! Wish it had more information about what to do next, but understand that the coordinators are probably getting bombarded by anxious students trying to find out more information. Haha! Like RedRaider2325 said, we found out several weeks earlier than what they did last year. So I guess I'll cut them some slack :rolleyes:

Technically my tuition is pre-paid, however I've been thinking about applying for some scholarships/grants. Hopefully something to help with living and book cost. Also, I downloaded and read some of the TTU nursing handbook and it says a laptop is required for in-classroom work. I have a desktop and a tablet, but of course... no working laptop.

Its actually a good thing that the TTU formal offer is taking its time, that will give your other schools a chance to send out their letters. Hopefully, you'll stick with us Raiders though!

No, not yet! Trust me I'll be one of the first one's to know, since I keep my phone handy just in case an email comes in,lol:) I hope soon, the anxiety is too much!!

I tried e-mailing the admissions but they have no replied! So i guess it is just the waiting game... (continuation) hope they don't say they will make a decision by the end of THIS month... it is toooo much :uhoh3:

I got a response and it read: "All students will be notified of their admission status via e-mail on or about the same date. We are hopeful that notices will be sent out by the end of the month, but it may take a week or two longer. "

So im guess another week or so guys...
