Texas Tech Spring 2014 RN-BSN

Published

Hey y'all, I got accepted into Texas Tech RN- BSN for January 2014 and was wanting to start a thread for us to stay in contact and also, if anyone has any advice on things to anticipate.

I will thankfully be out of New Grad Orientation and on my own by then :)

Hope to find out what to expect!

  • Orientation- go on campus or online?
  • Is it no more than 9 hours at a time but 15 in a semester?
  • Do they hook you up with preceptors to follow or can you find your own?

Thanks Rebecca

Sorry y all I graduated in May. .. but I haven't known anyone failing out of the program unless having issues that prevent one from putting in the hard work or just lazy. The instructors are really helpful and so are the coordinators. ....best wishes in the program and am sure you will all be successful! Don't be afraid to ask for help and yes plan enough time for your research papers! Lol... but they have people that can look over your work before submitting.....;-)

Specializes in IMU, CVICU.

Hi folks, I am planning on starting this program Fall 2014 (I graduate with my ADN this May). I have some questions and was wondering if you all could answer...? Curious if every semester you are given the option to graduate in 6 months? Are you able to pay out your tuition? Also, miles RN, your post intrigued me- what are the elective options? Thanks a ton, I will follow this post yo see how y'all like the program!

Ok, guys it is almost time for us to get started...I wasn't expecting my first semester bill to be so expensive, oh well; let's do this. Has any one acquired any books yet.

Hey, I choose "Issues in Women Health" for a couple of reasons. My concerns in women's healthcare and the cost of the books. I was going to go with informatics, but the book fee is crazy.

Hey does anybody know exactly when this program is completed?
