U.S.A. Texas

Is anyone else applying to Texas Tech's Second Degree BSN - Austin right now? I just took my TEAS V test yesterday, and I'm getting ready to send in all my transcripts this week. Its getting so close! I'm getting nervous and excited:D

chlesmarie15- Where did you get these numbers from?

I asked Kayla, the TTUHSC admin. assistant.

Thank you for the response. Best of luck to you!!! @ Bound2cBSN

Dug thru the forum and found these questions.

1. This program requires you to be a self-starter and accountable for much of your own learning. What is your experience with independent learning and what skills do you possess that will help you to be successful in this type of program?

> 2. In order to help us get to know you better, please share a life experience or an interesting fact about yourself (i.e. foreign travel, previous career, leadership role/skill, etc.)

Don't know if there will be any changes.

No word on an interview for me yet, but the El Paso cohort is a separate program this year. Hoping to hear something this week!

How did today's interviews go? I'm not sure about mine. I was extremely nervous. I felt like my entire life depended on this interview and that pressure just really got the best of me. I'm happy with my responses to the questions, but I think I could've done better.

Good luck to the rest of ya'll.

Same here. I felt like they did most of the talking. I hope that I answered the questions well enough, and that I get an acceptance email in a couple weeks, and not a denial letter! Did you go to the Starbucks after and talk with the current students? I tried. I guess I went to the wrong Starbucks. But, I work with a few graduates so I can continue to pick their brains until November. Good luck to everyone!

Yes, I went to Starbucks. There were 2 students there with their badges on. I almost missed them because I thought they were going to be in their scrubs. They were extremely helpful and answered a lot of our questions. I'm hoping we hear back as soon as next week since technically next week IS first part of November. One of the current students said she interviewed last year on a Monday and found out that same Friday that she was in.

I wasn't nervous at all until I walked into the conference room! UGH! Then I got super nervous! All in all I hope it went well, TXHopeful, I feel like you, like my life depended on this interview. Oh well, we shall see!

My interview is tommorow I hope it goes well. I applied last semester but had to do an online interview and it went horrible.... I hope in person is much better!

Good luck to you broneisia. I hope your interview went well today.

Did anyone receive an acceptance letter today? I'm just wondering because some of last year's students received their acceptance letters the Friday after they interviewed. No acceptance for me yet, but just wondering if there are any lucky ones out there that did.

I believe that last year was different because they didn't interview until Nov. We are interviewing at the end of Oct. They said by the "beginning of November" decisions would be made, which, I believe to mean by Friday, Nov 4. If I don't hear anything by next Friday and the accepted students post on here that they've heard news- and no one declines- then notifications of not being accepted will be sent around Monday, Nov 14. If that makes sense. This brave assumption is based on what I've read from previous posts.
