Is it too early to start one? I couldn't find one. Maybe too early?
I am planning on applying to the TT 2nd degree BSN program in May in hopes to begin in January 2017.
Anyone else?? Anyone in the program currently or recently have any info to share??
Thanks!!
I'm not sure why it would take them 8 weeks to decide. My neighbor graduated from the program about 3 years ago and said they heard back the week after the last interview on a Friday. Which for us, would be this Friday. I am just not good at waiting. Having had my interview on the first day is making the wait seem even longer. Ugh!
Can't wait to celebrate with everyone once we hear!!
One of the interviewers is a nurse practitioner at my work. When I see her next I'll ask her if she knows any details. She's not on the admissions board but she may have some info.
Also maybe it's 8 weeks before they are all sent out. I would think that they send out a first batch and wait to see who accepts/confirms admission and pays for their spot to be held and if people deny then they send out additional admission letters to fill spots as they go. But in reality I know nothing...

I think it went well. The current student I spoke to was great! I think the group I interviewed with was from Amarillo, but one of them is a NP who teaches during the Peds section- she travels to the different sites.
Mostly the the same questions. I don't know why I did an essay?! I guess I thought they'd read our essays and look over our resume before we got in there? Maybe ask specific questions? But they all had laptops in front of them and were writing on papers, so I wasn't sure what was going on. Lol.
I got:
- experience with online learning
- volunteer experience
- CNA/previous healthcare experience
- anything I wanted to share with them that I wanted them to know
- any questions I had for them
they said emails would go out in September, but not tomorrow (the 1st). Haha.
I asked about the attrition rate and NCLEX passing rate on first try. Both above 90%.
I talked to to the student for awhile. She was very helpful!
There was 1 guy after me, and then they closed up shop!
I also got my fingerprints done today!
