Is it too early to start one? I couldn't find one. Maybe too early?

I am planning on applying to the TT 2nd degree BSN program in May in hopes to begin in January 2017.

Anyone else?? Anyone in the program currently or recently have any info to share??

Thanks!!

Hey ckh,

I graduated the program in December 2014 and have been working in a level 1 CTICU since. I (and a few other former graduates) have answered loads of questions from prior threads so make sure to give those all a read. If you have more questions please feel free to ask and I'll try my best at answering. Good luck with the application process.

Hi! ckhrobison! I have thought about applying to the program. I applied to TCU's accelerated program and am waiting to hear back from them. If I do not get in, I plan on applying to Texas Tech and UTA for Spring 2017 start. Stats:

3.75 science

3.7 overall

B.S. from Tarleton

TEAS unknown cause I haven't taken it yet.

I used to be in TCC's RT program, have about 10 months of clinical experience.

However I did not finish due to the fact that my husband deployed and I had a newborn....so years later I am going back to the medical field where I know I should be!

What about you?

Oh are they doing the TEAS or HESI? I thought I read from another post they are doing the HESI? Do you know?

I will probably apply as well.

Sorry for delay. Online it says TEAS.

My my degree is Health Studies from TWU. I have also worked as a CMA for over 10 years in a variety of offices.

Hi ckhrobison, I am applying to the program as well! So much to do! Would love more info on the process too. Like what they are looking for....thanks:)

I'm also planning to apply to the program. Did any of you obtain your CNA cert. in the DFW area? Is there a specific program/school you would recommend? Thanks in advance!

Dais09,

I'm currently in the CNA course at Texas Career Institute. So far so good. I would just recommend going off reviews online.

@ dais09 hey I am in the process of getting CNA certified a graduate (5/11/16), but I am living in the bay area (CA) planning on moving to Texas in August. I still have some classes to take.

Just a little background: I have philosophy, patho, American Poly (1 and 2) and Nutrition. Before I move in August I will have American Pol 1, Philosophy and patho done. All I'll have left is Nutrition and Poly 2. I have also already completed AHA BLS certification and medical terminology. I take my Teas on Jun 28, 2016. I am busy, busy, busy, haha! I have been doing volunteering for a very long time and have no professional medical experience yet. I hope to get some as soon as I get CNA certified dong per diem work. I have my B.S. in Healthcare Administration and Management.

Where is everyone else academically and certifications, etc.?

Hello!

I am also applying for this program! What campus are y'all applying for? I am wanting to go the Abilene campus because that is where I currently live, but I am willing to move. I have a Bachelors in Psychology, 3.8 overall GPA, and a 3.5 science. Certified CNA. I currently work as a social worker. I hope to become a trauma/SANE nurse. I already have all my pre-req's. I took the TEAS and got a 92 on it. I am really nervous because I heard it is really hard program to get into.

Beccatap- Abilene is my first choice too!

dais09- good luck finding a cna course. I'm not in the Dallas area anymore. Sorry!

atenney- where are you moving in Texas? What is bringing you here from Cali? I have family in NorCal. Early welcome to you! :)

My bachelors degree is health studies.

I have everything completed except I'm currently taking patho, so I'll finish that it May.
