Is it too early to start one? I couldn't find one. Maybe too early?

I am planning on applying to the TT 2nd degree BSN program in May in hopes to begin in January 2017.

Anyone else?? Anyone in the program currently or recently have any info to share??

Thanks!!

Hello - for those of you who interviewed, is there a room number for the Round Rock Campus?

2nd floor of building 3000. Theres a sign that tells you where to go

I am currently in the Abilene cohort! If you have any questions I will be more than happy to answer. Good luck on your interviews! They just want to make sure that you are prepared for the amount of time and effort that is needed :)

Good Luck with interviews everyone! The questions I had stuck mostly to the essay prompts!

Shihall! Yesssss! I applied for Abilene!! I want to talk to you! Haha.

My email is [email protected], cell is 469.338.1554. My name is Courtney.

I'm so excited to find an Abilene person!!

Hey! I'm also applying to the Austin area and interviewed this past week. I'm wondering if anyone has come across some past admissions statistics. I'm curious to see what my chances are.

I'm not really sure about statistics but I heard the Austin campus admits 30-ish students a year. Also, like a creeper, I counted how many people interviewed at each location and there were 75 at the Round Rock location and 61 (ish, I forgot what I counted) at the Lubbock location. So, it looks like pretty good odds if you think that they interviewed extra for each of the 6 clinical locations.

Hi irish_mist!

can you tell us how the Dallas program is organized? Meaning what the schedule looks like? Do you start clinicals from the beginning or are they towards the end?

We started clinicals in March. You are paired with a coach that you work with throughout the program. Regarding schedules, all I can say is be flexible and definitely remember that this program will require a lot of dedication and time management. Flexibility is a must as it is very fast paced and things can change. We have two course instructors and one retention counselor. Our instructors periodically round on us during clinicals and want to know how we are doing and will eventually expect you to give report on your patients.

For those of you who haven't interviewed, just be confident and for the love of God, dress appropriately. Don't show up looking like a slob. Demonstrate to them that you know what you're getting into, you have the necessary support system and that you are passionate about nursing. Be confident!

glad I'm not the only one who tried to count and figure it all out í ½í¹ˆ I wish Dallas took more along the lines of 30ish instead of 15ish!!!! í ½í¸

I interviewed Tuesday and like everyone has said the questions were similar to the essay. I was super nervous and felt like I rambled a little too much. Its out of my hands now. Good luck to those still waiting to interview. I was crazy too and counted the number of filled spots, glad to see it wasn't just me. :)

They gave us a paper with information if you are accepted. The dates for mandatory orientation in January are Thursdays-Sundays. It seems like it would be Mon-Thur or Tues-Fri. Anyone from the current or previous cohort know anything about this?

I wanted to know if anyone else had this issue.

when I started my application, it didn't give me Dallas as option in the drop down box. It only had Lubbock, Abilene, and Odessa. I filled it out as Dallas my secondary assuming we had to use one of those as main campus. Anyway, when I went in for the interview they told me they had me down for Lubbock and when I tried explaining this to Admissions lady she basically said too bad.

did anyone else have this issue? Any suggestions or advise will help. Thank you.

I emailed Elizabeth Martinez after the application due date to see if I could add Dallas as my second choice and she added it no problem. Maybe you could email her and ask if changing your first choice is still possible.
