I’m not sure if it’s too early to start this thread, but anyone on here planning on applying to Texas Tech’s Second Degree program in May?

Hey y'all are you ready to apply? I've been so nervous/ excited!

I will be taking Microbiology starting in 2 weeks so I will most likely wait until I am done with micro (only 4 weeks) to submit, but I found this amazing course for the BLS that you can get the certification in less than a day and it was only $15!

That’s awesome!! Do you mind telling me where? I need to renew mine before September.

Any place to take medical terminology certification? They accept 3credits or certification

I'm taking a medical terminology course at a community college in New Mexico this Summer. I have also seen students from other institutions take this course below but I haven't personally taken it!

Has anyone started their application? Do you see where we can upload our resume, CNA and BLS proof? I am not sure if there’s a spot after we officially “submit” the application or if we should add it to the activities and distinctions section?

I’m trying to figure that out too! I know we are supposed to upload the certificates after we submit the application but IDK if it is supposed to go in that section or not.

I just looked at last years thread and it looks like links pop up after you hit “submit” to upload the documents.

I have one more class that I’m taking during Maymester at my local community college to fulfill the 40h. I received my bachelors in Florida so I’m missing all the Texas specific gen-Ed requirements. Is anyone waiting to submit their application until they complete courses? Or does it matter when you submit the app? I may be overthinking all of this...

Specializes in Medical Assistant.

Hello all, This what I saw on the email from the webinar BLS/CPR, Medical Terminology, CNA documents can be uploaded after application is submitted through your status portal

I think once I’m done filling out the application I will submit it. Our transcripts can be added after the application is submitted, from my understanding. I still have classes that won’t be finished until May 15th.

Yes! That is my story. I had my Bachelors from another country. Taking the last class of my Texas core from May 18 to June 4 (maymester). After then I will hit submit button

I emailed and asked and we do not have to put anything about our BLS in the activities section. We upload it after.
