Thank you, and we wish you success in getting into the program of your choIce!

They put something on the website about the TEAS test for Spring 2021 cohort applicants

I saw that they are waving the TEAS for Spring 2021 applicants due to COVID-19. That is a relief!

OMG that sure is! That is scary bc that can make it even more competitive..

I think they also lowered the minimum GPAs too. Didn’t they both used to be 3.0? Now the website says 2.5 minimum

Yes, they did for both science and overall GPA. 2.5 minimum but a 3.0 is preferred!

Hi! I’m applying to the Lubbock cohort. I will have all my classes except micro and patho done by the deadline. However, for the science GPA, since it’s only considering A&P 1&2, chem, micro, patho... I made a C in chem and will only have the two A&P’s done! I’m trying to find a 8 or 5 week chem class, micro, or patho before the deadline so I can boost my GPA. Does anyone know of any? I feel like I have looked everywhere with no luck!

DCCCD has a lot of different options! I have taken a lot of classes with them and the professors were really good.

You only need 3 of 5 science classes done to apply. Just so you know!

Do we need to have our CNA Certification to apply?

No, you don’t! If you’re accepted you will need your CNA by January. In years past, they take preference for those that have CNA completed by application but due to current health crisis preference won’t be given!
